Omega Solar is a team of approximately 20 students from Durham College and UOIT. The team was founded in the early years of UOIT by a mechanical engineering student. The team has since grown to include many students from Durham College. This combination of theoretical knowledge combined with practical skills is a unique advantage of the team and has allowed us to work much more efficiently.
While the team is completely student-run, the team is currently advised by professors from both UOIT and Durham College including Remon Pop-Iliev, NSERC-GMCL Senior Design Chair in Innovative Design Engineering and Professor Chris Daniel from the School of Applied Sciences, Apprenticeship, Skilled Trades, and Technology.
