Welcome to the website of the Omega Solar vehicle team.  We are a student-run solar vehicle design team based out of the University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT) and Durham College (DC) in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada.  For more information, check out the about page or visit our blog.

Our team is planning on competing in the 2011 World Solar Challenge in Australia.  This will be the first rayce for our team. ("Rayce" is a term used to describe solar car races!) We will also be producing the first solar vehicle from Durham Region to enter the competition. We will be competing alongside the vehicles of many other great Canadian teams.

We would like to thank our sponsors for all the help they have provided in getting us this far.  A list of our current sponsors can be found here.  Our first title sponsor is the UA Local 463.  The UA has generously allowed us to use their shop for construction of our vehicle.  Stay tuned for updates on construction!
